• Australian Pensioner Funerals are experienced in providing dignified veteran funeral services for our ex-service men and women.

All ex-servicemen and women are entitled to include an RSL commemoration ceremony as part of their funeral service. Our caring funeral directors can collaborate with local RSL Branch representatives to provide dignified, and meaningful veteran funeral services.

  • Veteran Funeral Services can include the following.

    Included In An RSL Service

    • An Australian National Flag, which drapes the coffin.
    • Poppies, which are personally handed to attending ex-servicemen and if desired, immediate family members, by a RSL Sub branch representative
    • A designated member of the RSL will lead a RSL service as part of the funeral service. This special RSL service occurs in the Chapel or Church where the funeral service is held, or at the grave site prior to interment.
    • A special RSL Veteran Funeral Service is performed by the representative, and will include a reading of the veteran's service record as well as a recital of The Ode.
  • The Ode

'They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, Nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,

    We will remember them.
    ALL  'We will remember them.'

The Last Post is played followed by the Rouse (Reville)
    Lest we Forget
    All: Lest we forget.
