• Support Networks And Grief Counseling

Grief is a natural response to the loss of a loved one, and is a different experience for every individual. At Australian Pensioner Funerals, we have supported thousands of families in their time of grief, and understand that it is an extremely difficult time.

As such, we advise our client families to seek support if needed, and recommend the following specialist organisations, which provide caring support, grief counseling and information for individuals experiencing grief and loss.

    Phone Counseling Services

BeyondBlue - BeyondBlue is a national not-for-profit mental health organisation, which offers many services. One of their services is a free phone hotline, which offers anonymous counseling support and referrals to in-person assistance.

Griefline - GriefLine is Australia's dedicated grief helpline service, which provides grief counselling support services free of charge to individuals and families.

Lifeline - LifeLife are a free, one-one phone counseling service who specialise in crisis support and suicide prevention. They are experts in suicide bereavement and can provide grief counseling services for this time.

    Other Support Services

Australian Centre For Grief And Bereavement - The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement Counselling and Support Service provides a statewide specialist bereavement service for individuals who need assistance at a time of loss. They offer face-to-face bereavement counselling, most of which is office-based, as well as bereavement support programs such as support groups, information resources and remembrance events.
